I know I have much to be grateful for, and a cance

I know I have much to be grateful for, and a canceled baby shower is not necessarily worth being upset about during these unprecedented times.

Except that it is.

While the world tries to deal with the devastating effects of the coronavirus pandemic, many people have had to cancel joyous milestones and big life events. A baby shower might not seem worthy enough of a loss to grieve over, but for me it is.
I wasn't throwing a baby shower for the gifts—I had planned it as a celebration of motherhood. A celebration of pregnancy. A celebration of my body, which has been strong enough to grow our baby boy.
I truly planned every detail and I was so excited to have my mum, sisters and friends all together celebrating baby Leo.
Today was meant to be THE DAY, but didn’t happen!
Not knowing when I will be able to see my family or friends is very sad and knowing that the only person that will see me pregnant will be Michal it’s quite upsetting!
Started my day in a horrible mood but very quickly my mood changed.
I literally have the best people in my life, all the messages and surprises made me so emotional.
Thank you so much to everyone that made my day so special.

Who needs a baby shower when you have friends like mine ?
